How to set up ChatGPT ads

Check your country

Self-service ChatGPT ads are open in the UK, the US and most of Europe, including Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and Norway. The legal entity that advertises and gets billed must be based in an available country. Some newer European markets onboard through OpenAI's Ads team or partners instead.

Create your Ads Manager account

Go to ads.openai.com and sign in with the OpenAI account you use for ChatGPT (or create one). You can start from your website URL or skip straight into Ads Manager.

• The advertiser name you enter fills your Account, Brand and Legal names - you can split them later in Settings › General.
• Brand Name is what people see next to your ads in ChatGPT.
• Country, currency and time zone cannot be changed after creation. Pick carefully.

Add billing

Open Billing in Ads Manager and add your credit card and billing profile. Campaigns cannot deliver until billing is set up. You pay OpenAI directly for ad spend - AdAgentz never touches this card.

Create your Advertiser API key

In Ads Manager, open the Settings page and create an Advertiser API key. The key is scoped to your one ad account. Treat it like a password: it lets whoever holds it manage campaigns on that account.

Hand the key to AdAgentz, safely

When your agent asks in chat, paste the key. From there:

• Ads are built on your own OpenAI account, created PAUSED, with the hard budget cap you agreed in chat enforced on the campaign itself.
• Nothing ever goes live without your APPROVE and a separate GO LIVE.
• You can revoke the key any time in Ads Manager Settings, which cuts AdAgentz off instantly.
